The "Deutsches Dampflokomotiv Museum" consists of three parts: the railway village, the teaching and information path "Schiefe Ebene" along the precipitous railway line and the museum in the roundhouse. Visitors can learn how life changed in Neuenmarkt through the introduction of steam technology, the establishment of the depot and the related new technologies, occupations and activities. The museum in the roundhouse, whose original garage and workshop character is retained, gives the visitor along a timeline all the important information about the technical development of steam locomotives in Germany and stages the depot as a workplace.
